Would the Wii fit give me somewhat of a good workout?

Im 16 and on the wrestling team in highschool. I have practice everyday but have not played my xbox 360 since august. Im probably going to sell it and buy a wii. I want a more active style of playing. Would the wii fit give me a good sweat if I put it on the highest difficulty for some workout? Thoughts?

If you are already athletic enough to make it onto a high school sports team, then the Wii Fit is a waste of your time. Many people who notice huge improvements in their health after playing it a while are gamers who are accustomed to sitting in front of the TV with handheld controls all day.

I suppose I should amend the above statement: It would be a waste of your time as a source of exercise. But if you are going to spend any time playing games anyway – especially with friends – a lot of Wii games are more fun with the motion controls than they would be just pushing buttons.

Go out and have some fresh air. Its free to exercise outside.
